INTRODUCTION ganh

LDR(Light Dependent Resistor) is also a one type of resistor but the resistance value of the ldr changes by changing the light, that means it is a light corresponding variable resistor.if the amount of the light falls on the ldr increases then the resistance of the ldr will be decreases and the amount of the light falls on the ldr decreases then the resistance of the ldr will be increases.when the light falling on the LDR,the resistance is changes ,that means LDR which changes its electrical resistance in response to changes in the light intensity.the resistance range of the ldr is between 100 ohms - 10M ohms.the resistance of the ldr is 100 ohms at maximum sunlight and 10M ohms at pure darkness.

light intensity and resistance characteristics

light intensity or luminous intensity means it is the amount of light falls on the one meter square area surface.the unit of the luminous intensity is the "lux". the resistance of the ldr depends upon the amount of the light falling on it.if the light falls on the ldr increases then the resistance of the ldr will be decreases.

⬆ LIGHT = RESISTANCE ⬇

if the light falls on the ldr decreases then the resistance of the ldr will be increases.
⬇ LIGHT = RESISTANCE ⬆
simply it is said to be light intensity falls on the ldr and resistance of the ldr inversly proportional to each other.
light intensity = 1/resistance of the ldr
