    INTRODUCTION

    LDR(Light Dependent Resistor) is also a one type of resistor but the resistance value of the ldr changes by depending upon the light, that means it is a light corresponding variable resistor.if the amount of the light falls on the ldr increases then the resistance of the ldr will be decreases and the amount of the light falls on the ldr decreases then the resistance of the ldr will be increases.when the light falling on the LDR,the resistance is changes ,that means LDR which changes its electrical resistance in response to changes in the light intensity.the resistance range of the ldr is between 100 ohms - 10M ohms.the resistance of the ldr is 100 ohms at maximum sunlight and 10M ohms at pure darkness.

    V-I CHARACTERISTICS OF THE LDR

    we know that the resistance of the ldr decreases with increase of the light intensity and the resistance of the ldr increases with decreases of the light intensity.according to the ohms law we know that, voltage = current * resistance.

    V = IR

    from the ohms law we know that if the resistance increases then the voltage also increases in correspondance and if the resistance decreases then the voltage also decreases in correspondance.

    ⬇R = V⬇

    and we know that the relation between resistance and current is inversly proportional that means if the resistance is increases then the current is decreases and vice versa(if the resistance is decreases then the current is increases).
    ⬆R = V⬇
    ⬇R = V⬆
